We are an inclusive church community meeting in the West View area of Hartlepool. We meet on Sundays, Wednesdays and in Small Groups throughout the week. Whatever your background or situation, you are welcome to come and find out more, be part of a friendly community and join in with serving God in Hartlepool and beyond.
This is a place where you can be equipped for life and learn how following the Jesus way can make a difference to your life and to those around us. It is a place where the hurt and the sick can receive prayer and support, where the bereaved and the lonely can find comfort and companionship. It is a place where children can build confidence as part of the church family.
We belong to the the network of churches that are part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and so share some common beliefs and ways of doing things with our wider baptist family.
History
Since 1955, there has been a strong Christian ministry in West View. This was due to the sending out of a group of faithful members from Regent Street Baptist Church (now Headland Baptist Church) who wanted, initially at least, to establish a children’s ministry.
So for nearly 70 years we have built up a strong family focused church, aiming to meet the needs of people in our area. Along the way we also show them, practically through our caring acts, how Jesus Christ is the true Lord and Saviour of all.
